Zoe Smith Leads The Way To Strong Falcon Outing At West Virginia Invitational
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University diving team finished off their end of the split-squad weekend tonight (November 20) at the West Virginia Invitational.
The Falcon diving team enjoyed success across the board in the West Virginia Invitational with Zoe Smith leading the way. Smith placed first in the 3-meter dive's preliminaries with a score of 261.20, but ultimately placed second in the championship round with a score of 261.85, narrowly missing out on two championship victories. Grace Ellis also built off of her strong start, placing first in the 3-meter dive consolation bracket with a score of 231.85 and second in the 1-meter dive preliminaries with a score of 257.60.
Young Falcons Elise Snyder and Sarah Butt also took a strong step in the right direction at the Invitational. Snyder placed sixth in the 1-meter diving championships and eighth in the 3-meter diving championships. Butt added a fourth place finish in the 3-meter diving championship round and in the 1-meter diving championship round to her growing resume.
Kylie Mosset also had a strong weekend, finishing fifth in the 3-meter dive championship round and eighth in the 1-meter dive championship round

"Both meets this weekend were good. We saw a lot of improvements, season best times and diving scores. We also saw a lot of areas we can build on for MACs. Our focus now is to continue to minimize our weaknesses and strengthen our strengths."
